Public Policy Polling is out with a new national survey of Republican voters that finds the governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker ahead of all other potential GOP candidates.
Scott Walker is out with a commanding lead at 25%, Ben Carson is in second place at 18%, then followed by Jeb Bush at 17% and Mike Huckabee at 10%. It is interesting to note that no other candidate gets more than 5% of support in this PPP poll. A possible bad sign for Christie and Paul, two possible GOP presidential candidates that already are both well known.
PPP notes that the reason why Walker is climbing in the polls is because of his appeal with the most conservative fraction of the Republican Party. Bush? It goes without much surprise that Jeb Bush is having a terrible time courting conservatives over to his side. This poll also seems to sugguest that Scott Walker has became the favorite for Tea Partiers, stealing the thunder from Senator Paul and Cruz.
