Ted Strickland Considering 2016 U.S Senate Bid?

Bloomberg’s Dave Weigel tweets that former Democratic Governor Ted Strickland, who barely lost re-election in 2010’s tea party wave, told Weigel that he hasn’t ruled out challenging Republican freshmen Senator Rob Portman (R) in 2016. Ted Strickland would be an excellent candidate for Democrats in a state where the Democratic bench is right now very thin.

If Strickland runs he might not even go up against Senator Portman, who himself is considering a bid for the GOP nomination for President in 2016.
