Braley Jumps Ahead of Ernst in Iowa

Loras College is out with a new poll in Iowa that finds Bruce Braley (D) has taken the lead over Joni Ernst (R) in the U.S. Senate race, 45% to 44%. This is the first time Braley has been ahead in two weeks and it comes right as polls suggest Alaska might go blue on Election Day also.

“Among those who have already cast their ballots during Iowa’s early voting period, Budzisz said Braley had a six-point edge. Braley also has a small advantage among independent voters, 43.8 percent to 40.4 percent. The survey was conducted Oct. 21-24.

Braley received a campaign visit Monday from Vice President Joe Biden and will be joined on the trail later this week in separate visits by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. Ernst is campaigning Tuesday with Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.”
