Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff Re-Elected

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff has been re-elected to a second term as leader of the fifth-largest state on Earth. Official results showed that the left-leaning Rousseff beat opposition contender Aecio Neves with 98% of the vote counted, Rousseff had won 51.5% of the vote. Rousseff’s victory extends her Workers’ Party rule, which has held the presidency since 2003. Her victory comes as she failed to win earlier last month which triggered this special runoff election.
