USA Today/Suffolk University is out with a new poll that is absolutely awful news for the GOP, they are behind in both the governor race and the U.S Senate race. Two races that people a year ago figured would of been easy GOP holds.
On the U.S Senate side, Greg Orman (I) is leading Senator Pat Roberts (R), 46% to 41%. An interesting thing to take away from the poll is how low of support Roberts has with independents and even with his fellow Republicans. If anyone was wondering why the GOP was freaking out when the Democrat dropped out of the race, this poll should confirm why they were afraid.
As for the governor race, challenger Paul Davis (D) is leading Governor Sam Brownback (R), 46% to 42%. While this doesn’t mean Kansas is turning blue, it might suggest that Kansas is becoming more moderate Republican.
