SurveyUSA is out with a new poll that finds the race for the U.S Senate and the governor seat in Georgia are both insanely tight. In the U.S Senate race, David Perdue (R) is barely ahead of Michelle Nunn (D), 46% to 45%.
In the race for governor, challenger Jason Carter (D) is just ahead of Governor Nathan Deal, 45% to 44%. The Libertarian candidate, Andrew Hunt is at 4 percent and might just peal off another votes from Deal to give the governor seat to Carter. While Democrats continue to poll poorly in a lot of other states that are competitive, it is breath taking to see Democrats are giving the GOP a run for it’s money in the Peach State and it could be an early sign that Georgia may not be a safe GOP state when the 2016 and 2018 elections get here.
