A new Landmark Communications poll in Georgia has good news for Democrats in both statewide races. In the race for governor, Jason Carter (D) has a three point lead over Governor Nathan Deal (R), 47% to 44%. In the race for U.S Senate, Michelle Nunn (D) over challenger David Perdue (R), 46% to 43%. If Democrats could carry both on election night this would be a major blow to the Republicans and almost guarantee that the U.S Senate will remain in the hands of Democrats. Democrats gaining two seats in Georgia would also have to make the GOP question going forward just how reliable red the state of Georgia really is.
