A new We Ask America poll in Wisconsin finds that Mary Burke (D) has a four point lead over Gov. Scott Walker (R) in the race for governor, 48% to 44%. If Governor Scott Walker loses this race it is not only a disappointment for Wisconsin republicans who saw a surge in support in the badger state over the last four years but also leaves serious questions about 2016.
Scott Walker losing would subtract one more less credible candidate for the GOP 2016 dance. Chris Christie and Rick Perry are both under investigation. Bachmann, Romney, Ryan, Cain, Huckabee and Santorum are all political losers and would be leftovers from 2008 and 2012. The fresh faces are Marc Rubio, Rand Paul, Rob Portman and Ted Cruz.
